Rio De Janeiro Weather
Rio de Janeiro Brazil Weather - When you visit Rio, you should keep in mind
that summers run from December to March and winter from June to September.
Expect rain during the summer months, but the showers rarely damper the mood or
atmosphere of the city. You could experience a heavy shower to pound the area,
but this usually lasts no more than an hour or two. Shortly after, you will be
greeted by the sun.
Prices in beach resorts are invariably higher during the Brazilian summer. If
you're looking for a bargain, visit during the off-season (May-June and
August-October) Rio’s temperature can drop to uncomfortable levels for swimming
from June through August, so keep this in mind. Rio de Janeiro is located on the
Tropic of Capricorn, making the climate tropical. The summer months are hot and
humid, with temperatures reaching as high as 105°F. The average temperature
stays between 84°F and 95°F. During the wintertime, temperatures are around the
70s. Sometimes you may catch an occasional high 60 degree day.
