to do while you are on tour of Rio. The trouble is finding enough time to
explore these options in between sunbathing and shopping. Visit Rio's Centro
neighborhood to view some of the city's most notable churches, squares,
monuments and museums. Take the 45 minute walk around the area of Centro and
touch upon such sites as the Morro de São Bento, Monument to the Dead of World
War II and the Sambodromo. For the shopper in you, put Botafogo on your list of
areas to visit, where you will encounter many office high-rises and big retail
shopping malls, including the Shopping Rio Sul, the first mall to open in the
city. A few other attractions include: Villa-Lobos and the Indian museums in the
area, as well as an entertaining food and music fair located in the Cobal Public
Market.

Come visit the sandy oasis of one of the most famous beaches in the world. Keep

This cable car is one of the last of a dying mode of transportation. Take a trip
on this cable car, which starts in Lapa, by the Cathedral, and crosses through
to Santa Teresa.
Ipanema

It took almost ninety years to build this impressive attraction. Marble sculpted

Visiting this attraction means that you will be touring the largest library in
Latin America. The design of the library alone is enough to add this stop to
your itinerary, the staircase was decorated by some of the most famous names
during the 19th century, such as Rodolfo Amoedo, Eliseu Visconti, Henrique
Bernadelli and Modesto Brocas.

This is a beautiful place to get lost in. Here you will enjoy a mixture of
gardens, sculptures, ponds, fountains, tropical forest, as well as more than
